City socialite Amreen to serve masses now, joins BJP.

Punjab and Chandigarh based social worker, Amreen Kaur Rai joined Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) along with scores of supporters, at the Sector 37 head office, in presence of BJP Punjab State President, Sunil Jhakhar.


Amreen, who hails from Amargarh (Malerkotla), carries social work across Punjab and Chandigarh. Belonging to an influential family, Amreen has been performing social work for last seven years now. Her husband is a famous modern agriculturalist, who also supports her in this noble cause. "I believe, it's time to giveback to the society. The act of serving the needy and poor people leads me to a devine life," said Amreen, while joining the BJP Punjab. 


She further added: "I think by joining the BJP, I will be able to work more towards the welfare of people. The Prime Minister of India has proved to the world that no work is small, of one aims high."


Amreen, who is a house manager, along with her kids and group of (Non-Profit NGO, Arsh) members installs free food tents thrice a week outside different hospitals of the city. In addition, she works to provide financial help to poor patients, especially coming from Punjab to Chandigarh government hospitals, to cover their medicine expenses. 


Back at her hometown, she along with her brother provides free education to village girls and promotes them to live a free and happy life. "The BJP is working towards welfare of Punjab, and I firmly believe that I can contribute in this noble cause", said Amreen.
