Today, on the 197th birth anniversary of Jyotirao Phule, the warrior who fought for social equality in India, CPI-ML organised programs across the state with the resolve to save the Constitution and Democracy.

In a program organised in respect of Jyotirao Phule at Daroga Rai Path in the capital city Patna flower garlands were laid on hist statue. In the program, party's Politburo members Dhirendra Jha, Shashi Yadav, KD Yadav, Abhyudaya, RN Thakur, SK Sharma, Jitendra Kumar, Anuradha Devi, Pannalal, Krishna Kumar Sinha, Vibha Gupta and others were present.

On the occasion, Dhirendra Jha said that at a time when the constitutional foundation of the Indian Republic is under serious attack and an environment is being created for the revival of oppressive feudal and patriarchal values, Phule's message is even more relevant and encouraging. We need to draw strength and inspiration from Phule's revolutionary legacy. There is a need to assimilate his ideas and work with full dedication and strength to protect the Constitution and the Democratic future of India.

He also said that this birth anniversary is happening at a time when elections are about to being held in the country. Jyotiba Phule will be remembered in the true sense only by defeating the BJP government which has destroyed democracy and established dictatorship in the country. It is bent on creating discrimination among people in the name of religion.

He said, In such a situation, taking inspiration from Jyotiba Phule's life work, we have to pledge to "Remove BJP - Save the Country! Save Democracy - Save the Constitution" and support with all our heart, mind and money the campaign to oust BJP from power in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
