On the first day of the two day Central Committee meeting of CPI-ML going on in Patna, serious discussions were held on the election results of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Party general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, senior party leader Swadesh Bhattacharya, newly elected MP from Karakat all were present in the meeting. Many important leaders of the party including Rajaram Singh, Bihar Party Secretary Kunal, MLC Shashi Yadav, V. Shankar, Geeta Mandal and Dhirendra Jha are participating in this meeting.

The Central Committee of CPI-ML said that the victory of CPI-ML on two seats of Bihar will become the vehicle of new rise of Left in the Hindi belt. CPM's victory in Sikar, Rajasthan should also be seen in this context. This victory will give new strength to the movement going on in favour of democracy against Modi's dictatorship across the country.

The mandate of 2024 is against BJP, but by misuse of power, NDA has somehow succeeded in forming the government. The BJP's cunning ploy to create an 'opposition-free democracy' has clearly failed. India alliance has emerged as a strong opposition.

Although the 2024 election results have negated the anti-Muslim BJP's polarisation efforts, especially in UP, what still remains is the minority opposition to the BJP and the NDA. Not just the BJP but the entire NDA There is no Muslim, Christian or Sikh MP. There is not a single Muslim face in Modi-3 government.

India alliance should also immediately call a review meeting regarding the election results of Bihar. The alliance relatively did not get any seats. India alliance performed well in Shahabad, Magadh and Seemanchal, but the performance in other areas is very worrying. The India alliance should collectively analyse this, make a better assessment of the situation and make an appropriate strategy in the coming days.

The widespread dissatisfaction wave against BJP should have caused an even bigger blow to BJP and NDA. It has won about 30 seats by a very small margin. In these, irregularities in vote counting cannot be ruled out. Overall, there was a tough contest in the election. Of the three seats contested in Bihar, CPI-ML has won 2, while the party has said in its review that despite the defeat in Nalanda, the party has received tremendous support from various section of the society and the party's credibility has increased.

In the meeting, a demand was made to investigate the role of BJP MLA Jivesh Mishra in the Devra Bandhauli incident of Darbhanga. It may be noted that on the election day, a BJP MLA entered the booth with the intention of instigating a riot and misbehaved with Muslim women voters, a conspiracy was hatched to deprive them of their votes and on the contrary, by putting pressure on the police station, two fake FIRs were lodged.
