Congress party stands with the exploited and wants the case of sexual exploitation of women in Karnataka to be heard at national level. For the same, a special press conference was organised at the party's state headquarters Sadakat Ashram in which Congress national spokesperson Alok Sharma made a scathing attack on BJP on this issue. He said that the video that has surfaced of the incident of sexual exploitation of women in Karnataka is shameful for humanity.

It is noteworthy that in this highly sensitive case, the incident of sexual exploitation of hundreds of women by Prajwal Revanna, the joint candidate of BJP and Janata Dal(S) from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, has come to light. Prajwal is currently an MP and comes from the family of former Prime Minister and JDS national president HD Deve Gowda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also sought votes for him.

It is known that JDS and BJP are contesting elections together in Karnataka. Sharma alleged that the BJP was aware of the incident six months ago, yet it formed an alliance with the Janata Dal (S) and even made the accused its joint candidate. If it was not for Congress government in Karnataka, this disgusting game would have continued with countless women.

Adding more he said that, in fact, BJP leaders are getting addicted to considering women as an object of pleasure. It has been revealed that around 2800 sexual abuse videos are captured in the pen drive. Our Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. Shivakumar has taken immediate action on this and has constituted SIT and has also appointed a Special Public Prosecutor to provide justice to the victimised women.

Incidents of sexual exploitation of women are becoming common under the BJP regime. A similar sex racket was busted by a BJP leader in Meghalaya and then in Uttarakhand. Such incidents have happened in Unnao, Kathua and even with women wrestlers of the country. This proves that BJP considers women as mere objects. Congress party strongly condemns this.
