A delegation of women from Bihar BJP met the Chief Electoral Officer of the state today and demanded action and register an FIR against workers of Rashtriya Janata Dal for openly abusing and using caste related words against Chirag Paswan and his family.

The delegation has also complained about this to the Chief Election Commissioner, New Delhi and District Election Officer, Jamui. The delegation has also submitted a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer, Bihar. In which it is said that during an election meeting in Jamui, RJD leaders and workers attacked Chirag Paswan, leader of Jamui's NDA alliance constituent Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas Paswan). Not only did they use abusive language against him but also openly insulted the Harijan leader by using caste related words.

It is further said that in this context, a video has gone viral on social media in which the actions of RJD leaders and workers are clearly visible and heard.

Giving complete information to the Commission, it has been said that using such caste based words and abusive language in public meetings by any political party during elections is a punishable offence. Apart from this, it is also a violation of the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission and strict legal action is worthy of being taken so that such incidents do not take place.

Due to this incidence all the leaders and workers of the alliance, especially the scheduled caste leaders and workers and especially the women, feel deeply insulted. At the end of the letter, a request has been made to take appropriate legal action and register an FIR against the leaders and workers seen in the video. The video clip of the incident has also been submitted to the Commission along with the application.

In this delegation, women leaders Anamika Singh Patel, Dr. Usha Vidyarthi, Anamika Paswan, Priyanka Raj Lakshmi, Poonam Singh, Anu Priya of JDU, Ratna Purkayastha, Anjum Ara, Surbhi Thakur and Puja Singh were present.
